On October 2nd, young aspiring artists were introduced and paired up with local, active artists at Spitzer Art Center. The pairs will soon begin working toward the extremely unique concept, Wonderkitten! Wonderkitten is a portrait show in it's second year, that pairs local children and local artists together to create a portrait of each other. Created by the cofounders of Art Lotto, Denise Kanter Allen and Brandy Somers, this show encourage the child-adult pairs to meet throughout the months of October and November to collaborate and share ideas that will culminate in an art show. At this preliminary meeting, the assortments of coffee were just as unique as the artists that filled Spitzer Art Center. Special thanks to Bowl of Good and Lucas Roasting Company for providing delicious soups, wraps, sweet treats and aromatic gift bags of coffee during the event. The Wonderkitten First Friday Opening Reception will take place December 5, 2014 from 5-8pm at Larkin Arts! Come see what our pairs create in a gallery and enjoy refreshments and live music!
